To promote the Indian science and technology for the welfare of all Indian citizens through Swadeshi Movement for the purpose of national development.
Establishing Student - Scientist connect. Primarily is a group of students from a particular school who are interested in Science and related activities. We have formed such VSF groups in over 75 schools from Nagpur and other districts of Vidarbha. Through VIBHA Vidarbha's VSF program we have been arranging lectures of scientists and visits of scientific institutions for last several years. We arrange such visits to Universities, Government research laboratories, Government Dental College, private industries etc. to provide knowledge and exposure to the students and give them diversified view of applied sciences.
A week long annual summer camp where students get to interact with scientists and doctors, visit the research laboratories, know more about the technological advances. The Vidhnyan Shibir constitutes mainly 2 activities i.e. the hands on session and expert lecture. We set up practical hands on session on subjects like physics, life sciences, electronics, electrical etc. and each day a technical session introducing a new concept to the students like how petrol is discovered and purified, how power is generated, one health, Indias defence production, Nano technology etc.
VIBHA National Initiative : A national level science talent search examination conducted annually by Vigyan Bharati, is aimed at recognizing the young talents from among the school children of class Vi to XI and nurturing them for future careers in science. The exam has been a popular initiative of VIBHA with lacs of students from across the country appearing for it every year. A special feature of VVM is that it has a component based on India's own contribution in science in the past and in contemporary times i.e. from Kanad to Kalam and beyond. The exam is jointly organized by VIBHA, NCERT and NCSM (National Council of Science Museums, autonomous society under Ministry of Culture, Government of India). It is conducted online and in three stages –regional, state and national. State and national level exams are more like workshops/camps in which the winners of earlier stage examination participate.
Initiative to give college students early exposure to industries and their work culture. Students get to see the problems first hand and an opportunity to provide technological solution to the industry. Interdisciplinary Lectures: Expert Lectures arranged to stress upon the importance of combined efforts needed by the people from medicine, science and engineering. Information is shared and students are encouraged to start joint ventures to address issues faced by common man and for the betterment of the society.
VIBHA Vidarbha arranges lectures to emphasis the fact that a society which believes in its own Sanskruti and remains steadfast can stay united. While remaining grounded in Sanskruti, society needs to have a strong Vigyanik outlook, liberal enough to adopt science and technological advances to make life easier for the poor, farmers and such economically backward sections.
To ignite the inquisitive minds with the right information and improve their thinking ability and feed their curiosity. Making such information easily available can give the young population a head start and do better in the field of science and technology. With this in mind VIBHA Vidarbha organizes KUTUHAL – a Techno-Medical and home appliances techno exhibition
An exhibition where students present their working models which are made to address various problems faced by the society. 100s of students from all over Vidarbha participate in this and the top 25 were made part of Indian Science Congress 2023
